Who Am I?

My name is Benjamin J. Thompson. I am a seller of antiquarian and rare books for a large online used book retailer. I am a writer of science fiction, political commentary and a smattering of occasional poetry. My wide interests in literature and writing spawned the name of my little operation here: Rabid Quill.

I am more interested in disseminating my work than I am in learning how to be a publishing industry insider, so I have embraced the Web as a publishing platform. I now utilize a blog founded on the WordPress blogging software (you’re on it right now), a weekly podcast at TalkShoe which generates a small income, and in the background I am slowly assembling an audio book of a work by Gilbert Keith Chesterton.

I own and operate this website, and govern its design, as well as TopofCenter.com. I have worked on websites for others, and I am a PC hobbyist and occasional Linux enthusiast.

I am open to freelance writing projects, custom building you a PC, webmastering and general technical advice.
